ESL Classes At CRS
The Center for Refugee Services offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to help refugees build the language skills they need to navigate daily life and achieve their goals in the United States. Classes are available at multiple levels, from pre-literate to intermediate, and some are offered exclusively for women to create a comfortable learning environment. Our ESL teachers are all volunteers from the San Antonio community.
Baby Bed Instruction Video
Presented by Jill Rips
As refugee families settle in to their new lives in San Antonio, the Center for Refugee Services (CRS) helps them prepare to safely welcome newborns into their homes.
CRS provides a 25-minute educational video or in class instruction on how to provide a safe sleep environment for their infants and help prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
As part of that program, the Southwest SIDS Research Institute’s A.C.C.E.S.S program (All Children Can Enjoy Safe Sleep) provides free Pack N Play beds to refugee families without the means to purchase one, who have completed the single session educational class.
