Thanks to donations from individuals like you, the Center for Refugee Services is able to provide services and classes that assist legally resettled refugees with their successful integration into our community.

CRS does not receive any government funding to do this work. There are several ways you can make a tax-deductible donation to CRS. Please see details below.

Donate via Zelle!

One of the best ways to support CRS is by donating through Zelle. There are no processing fees with Zelle so every dollar you contribute goes directly towards assisting legally resettled refugees with becoming self-sufficient and integrated members of our community.

How to Donate via Zelle:

  1. Log into Your Bank Account: Sign in to your online banking or mobile banking app (most banks have Zelle available)
  2. Select “Send Money”: Locate the option to send money using Zelle in your banking app.
  3. Enter Our Zelle Email Address: For the recipient, enter our Zelle email address: director@sarefugees.org.
  4. Specify the Donation Amount: Enter the dollar amount you wish to donate.
  5. Confirm and Send: Double-check the details and confirm the transaction.

We welcome in kind donations of gently used and new items that assist our health and wellness programs. We encourage groups to choose a category for a group project. Please call the office to inquire about current needs: (210) 949-0062. 

Donations can be brought to our office during business hours (Monday – Friday 10am to 3pm).  

We request that you do NOT leave donations at any other time as we are in a congested, well-traveled area.

We regret that unless we have a special project, we cannot accept clothing donations.  We do not have the storage space or volunteer staff to successfully provide this service on an ongoing basis.

We do appreciate items in these three areas:

Household Goods

We provide needs for the kitchen and bathroom.  We accept the entire or a portion of our household goods kit:

  • New shower curtain/shower rings
  • New/gently used dish sets
  • New/gently used pots/pan assortment
  • Large 8-10 quart pots

  • 2 bibs
  • 2 receiving blankets
  • A cardboard baby book
  • A toy
  • 1 pkg Newborn diapers and baby wipes (CRS can supply)
