At the Center for Refugee Services, we provide ESL and citizenship classes, sewing classes and children's music classes.
Taught by volunteers on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 10 a.m.
Taught by volunteers on Fridays. Students work on improving their English skills, learn how to operate a sewing machine, and learn how to sew items they can sell in World Mosaic Market.
Baby Bed Instruction Video
Presented by Jill Rips
As refugee families settle in to their new lives in San Antonio, the Center for Refugee Services (CRS) helps them prepare to safely welcome newborns into their homes.
CRS provides a 25-minute educational video or in class instruction on how to provide a safe sleep environment for their infants and help prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
As part of that program, the Southwest SIDS Research Institute’s A.C.C.E.S.S program (All Children Can Enjoy Safe Sleep) provides free Pack N Play beds to refugee families without the means to purchase one, who have completed the single session educational class.
